There is nothing like passing on the traditions and values of the West, and watching them unfold and grow in front of your eyes. This forked little cowboy was proudly trying to catch up to his father when I saw him that warm day in West Texas. This painting is a result of how I perceived his efforts to become everything he believed his father to be.
